Getting TO/AROUND: Specially if you live in distant neighborhood, a car is absolutely necessary, and thanks god the roads in São Paulo are excellent, but as in any big city (Hallo Montreal!!! HALLO LOS ANGELES) the trafic is packed!

This day my cousin Isabel was taking my mother to see her new flat in the city centre!

We were in my car where Marcio Omatsu took the picture!;)

We were driving in the Avenida Ayrton Senna!

Honor given to our great Formula One pilot Ayrton Senna who died in Italy in a Grandprix!

Getting TO/AROUND: You can get lost there, it is indeed enormous, but quite organized and with many facilities like a subway station. the Terminal tiet~e is one of the few places in Brazil where you can go to any destination in the country!

Travelling by bus in Brazil is much more common than travelling by train.

Some days after my arrival from Canada I stopped in São Paulo to welcome my canadian friend Mike, and I left my mother there to continue her trip to Rio.

Getting TO/AROUND: Santos is a big city in the sea shore and the palce where we have the biggest brazilian harbour! This is also a very important exit to our exportation. The Santos Harbour is so big that lends part of our territory to the goverment of Paraguay who has a harbour there as they do not have any exit to the sea!

    Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: It is more than one hundred metro station present in the main neighborhoods of the city, it has 5 lines and it is connect with the urban trains, whoch serve another cities too!

But it has one problem, during the summer the trains are unbearable, no air contioning system!!!! In none of the trains!

Marcio and I suffured in these trains in hte peak hour, it is just like Tokyo! :)

I would say it is still useful!

Getting TO/AROUND: The State of São Paulo has incredibly great roads, very modern and safe road, this one has a great name, Ayrton Senna, our formula one legend! :)

It links Taubaté to the city of São Paulo, actually when you drive from Rio, this is a very useful short cut which will save one hour of your trip!
