Okay.... What I want to know most about Kuala Lumpur is: Where did they get the cool traffic lights? In this city, you press the button for the little green man to appear and a timer counts down to his appearance..... the little green man then begins to walk, accompanied by another timer that tells you how long he has before getting squashed. When the clock reaches 10 second countdown, the little green man starts to run desperately! So funny! We definately need these in England!

Jonathan has loved Motor Sports for as long as I've known him, and we actually planned our trip to Malaysia around the 2005 Japanese Super GT.

It's Jonathan's thing - not mine - and so I'd never been to a race before and had never paid much attention to the races Jonathan watches (which is all of them). However - I must say - this was really exciting!

We'd arranged for a "pit walkabout" before the race, and I got my first ever autograph from Richard Lyons - who went on to win the race! I was so thrilled - bouncing up and down waving my signed pit-pass..... until I realised the autograph had melted in the midday heat :(

I was so gutted!

Richard - if you read this - please send me a new autograph!

This is a good tip: if you're ever lost - look up!

Since we were staying inside the Golden Triangle, our landmarks to find home were the Petronas Towers and the KL tower while we stayed in Kuala Lumpur. We went for a walk around one day and got hopelessly lost... we followed our map (discreetly) fine for about three hours - and then suddenly cut through a shopping mall and couldn't find out where we were! Despair hit as we searched the horizon for our safety landmarks and found no trace - someone must have stolen them? Dumbfounded! They were there a minute ago... It took us 15 minutes and 10 cigarettes to work out where the KL Tower was - we were standing at the bottom of it!

D'oh! Next time I'm holding the Map!
