Bled The Enthraller

Once Bled was the summer residence of Serbian kings. Today it is a busy tourist town and losing a little of its pristine promise in its success. This is not to say you should not go there, far from it. I first visited Bled in 1961 and then it really was "naturally" spectacular. You could walk along the edge of the town's circular lake and find trout sleeping under the banks. Today it is a little bit busier but the lake seems to have maintained its cleanliness. There are many hotels the ones I liked were the Park and particularly the Golf hotel.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Wonderful country, wonderful town
Cons:Gets a little too busy in peak season
In a nutshell:A perfectly photogenic town

Don't think I'l lmake it to Lake Bled but defiitely to Ljubljana, so I should get to see some of this lovely countryside :)
