A long day ahead, we began the tour at 6:30 am. Bus ride was approximately 4 hours each way, with frequent stops for those who need to eat, drink, use restrooms & smoke. Photo stops made at Hoover Dam as well, along with 2 points of overlooking the Grand Canyon (Bright Angel Lodge and Yavapai Point). These are where you get the best views of the canyon, as well as the Colorado River with the suspension bridge (Yavapai Point, but you really need to look!).

While here in '96, my best firend and I tried our luck at the roulette tables inside the Hard Rock Hotel's casino. Unfortunately it didn't take her long to lose all of it! :) I, on the other hand broke even. Best of luck to all who give it a whirl!!!

Every time I played at the Flamingo's Casino, lady luck was NOT on my side!!! I'm thinking those roulette dealers loved me whenever I came to their tables!!!! :)

I found the Venetian to be the most attractive hotel on the strip, with the best views and photo ops. Although it's also the most popular with couples, my friend and I trolled the grand canal shops and toured the grounds. We were able to see about 7 weddings (post-ceremony) and families taking advantage of the gondola rides.

Every 30 minutes an amazing water show emerges from the lake surrounding the front of the Bellagio resort. Dancing fountains light up the sky to the beat of perky music. Beware, as you're standing around in the quietness of thousands, waiting for the show to begin, the loud popping of the fountains will take you by surprise!!! This was a great show and the best part of it, it's FREE!!!

Mandalay Bay: so much to do, so little time!

Mandalay Bay has much to offer, aside from the hotel and casino, there is a huge sports book, abundant restaurants, shops and night spots. Strongly recommend the Burger Bar on the 2nd floor of Mandalay Place, and Rum Jungle, the restaurant turned night club.

Monte Carlo is a great place to stay & along with the great accomodations, they have an array of shops, restaurants, a great brewery-pub and a friendly casino.

Whether it's shopping, eating/drinking, clubbing or just hanging out watching the shows, there's something here for everyone. You can sit in the atrium where the living-statues perform every half hour--and the show is free! The forum shops are always enough to keep the avid shopper happy or you can grab a bite and a drink at Planet Hollywood. CP is also home to OPM and Pure, 2 of the hottest night clubs in Vegas.

Luxor: Check out the pyramid!

The Luxor is a great place to sightsee, if not anything else. Great views inside, it's a must to check out the lobby and get some photos. There are also several shops, a great casino and it's home of the hot nightclub RA.
