when we stayed here in '96 it was still one of the fairly more expensive places to stay. These days, it's quite a bit more affordable and still a great place to stay. Concierge was very professional and hospitable and anything we needed was taken care of in a timely and professional manner.
Unique Qualities: We had an excellent view from our room, facing the strip. One of the best things about our hotel was the pool. A large, relaxing pool with palm trees lining the center, we enjoyed our relaxation time. The fountain with the flamingoes in the garden was a nice sight to see. Also, you can't beat the location of this hotel.

Room was great, with a wonderful view of the mountains and the off-strip landscape. Pool was nice, with a main pool, wave pool and lazy river. A good part of the pool was shaded and we had to fight for spots in the sun, away from the main pool area. Water in the wave pool was freezing, but felt great after being in the hot desert sun. Lazy river was a great way to cool off, however there were WAY too many kids getting in the way. Restaurants were nice, with fair prices and the casino had a great and comfortable atmosphere.
Unique Qualities: I would definitely stay again, however (and this goes for all resort pools), I only wish vacationing families would make better use of the kiddie pool, keeping the children a bit more out of the way of the partiers and sunbathers.

The rooms here were great, and the hotel and casino itself holds such a fun atmosphere. I booked early enough to where I got a great rate, and it's right in the center of the south strip. There are plenty of great restaurants inside, and also the Manhattan Express, a roller coaster that takes you entirely around the premises, starting inside the hotel.
Unique Qualities: One thing I particularly liked was that the age group was close to mine, and there were an abundant amount of singles as well. The pool is a good size and you can order food from one of the restaurants on the deck. There are a lot of great restaurants to choose from and the inside is set up to look like the streets of NYC.

I felt like such a queen staying at the Bellagio. This is an upscale resort on the strip where the millionaires like to stay and play. I would not only recommend this to others, but I also look forward to the time I can stay here again. It's pricey; we stayed here one night as a special treat to ourselves. Weekdays you may be lucky to get a rate of $199, like I did. Weekends prepare to spend about $400 per night.
Unique Qualities: Bellagio has 5 pools, all of which have amazingly warm and comfortable water temperatures. The pools get awfully crowded. Get there early if you can. The grounds are gorgeous (see tip on the Bellagio Conservatory) and each hour they host a fountain show on the lake in front of the building (see tip on Bellagio Fountains).
