The Nightlife

If it's clubbing/partying that you are here for, don' t look very far...everywhere you turn there's someplace that will cater to your music and dancing pleasure!
out and about shopping & stuff

The Day Life

If you're a shopper like I am, I guarantee you will be in Heaven upon your arrival in Chicago. The downtown area is a mecca for shoppers, and there's a lot of ground to cover, so wear comfortable shoes!

It Helps when...

one of your best friends lives right in the city! A good friend of mine moved there last summer and staying at her place not only saves me a ton of money on a hotel, but also puts us in the middle of everything, as she lives right downtown.

Pros:"Tons of shops, bars, restaurants and things to do"
Cons:"Heavy traffic and tourism, pricey parking lots"
In A Nutshell:"Chicago is one of the best places for a weekend getaway--just be patient with the crowds"

Glad to see Ann Sather's is mentioned so often in the tips, the place is an institution! The cinnamon rolls are out of this world! The restaurant is 60 years old as of this year. You happened to visit the flagship store. Did I mention the cinnamon rolls?
