Traveling is my passion. Although I must admit, being single in a couples' world, it is sometimes hard to find companions to take vacations with, however I have learned that going alone sometimes gives me the best experiences a new destination can offer.
One of my favorite things to do is take an impromptu road trip to the Pittsburgh area to spend time with my dozens of cousins!!! I'm close with my family and it's no fair that I hardly get to hang out with them.
I'm also a sports nut and enjoy games of all kind, especially hockey and football. Just recently I followed my beloved Detroit Red Wings to see them play the Penguins in Pittsburgh with my cousins--much to my happiness, my team won!

I'm from Woodhaven, Michigan, about 15 miles south of Detroit. There isn't a whole lot to do right here in our town, but a 30 minute drive will get you to just about anything you want to do. Detroit isn't as bad as everyone thinks; every day Detroit is one step closer to being a "new world." Sure, all big cities have their crime and their bums and their downsides. But when I introduce someone to Detroit, I focus on the good things the Motor City has to offer! Museums, nightlife, restaurants, culture, festivals, sports and entertainment...we love it all!

PLEASE....do not hit on me. This is not a dating website. I am not here to pick up guys, find a boyfriend or hook up. I am here to make friends and learn about all the cultures of the world around me. It's such a big world and I want to expereince as much of it as I can during this short time we have. Besides...2 weeks' vacation is just not long enough to do everything I want to do!!!
I am the type of person to make friends wherever I go. I love people...as long as they're not cutting me off on the highway or getting in my way when I'm trying to take a fabulous photo!!! :)

I enjoy traveling with my friends, my sister, my family...anybody! Weekend getaways with friends to a fun destination such as Miami, Vegas or Nashville are always a treat. However I find that meeting and experiencing new people has been rewarding when I travel abroad on my own.
Now that most of my friends are married or in relationships, having children or buying homes, it gets harder and harder to find someone to take those weekend getaways.
I try to do a large vacation (such as overseas or a week long destination) and a small vacation (usually a long weekend someplace local or semi-local) each year. Some things depend on my financial situation or whether or not my friends are free and have the extra funds to join me...

In 2007 I made my first trip to Minneapolis. It was for a convention so not much free time to explore but what chance I did get was a good one! In 2 weeks I will be visiting NY for the first time as well.
