    Getting TO/AROUND: I was fortunate in that South African friends drove me everywhere. We drove from Jo'burg to KNP and through the park (three days).
    I flew to Port Elizabeth and was again looked after by friends.

    If I had to find my own transportation I would definitely rent a car. The highways in South Africa are very well maintained.

    Getting TO/AROUND: I have flown to South Africa twice and been on SAA and BA and Air Canada in the process. I found BA to have the least amount of leg room. AS far as the cheapest fares go, I would google that and do lots of homework and then go to a travel agent as they seem to come up with the best fares as they buy in bulk. By googling first, you know what is a fair price.
    1Time airline in South Africa seem to offer the cheapest airfare right now but there are three or four (at least) domestic airlines in South Africa.

    The rest can be best answered by South Africans. Actually they can probably answer all of it better than I can.
