    • We drove to Graaff Reinet and I found it quite interesting. It is a historic town and so there are many very old building there.. There is quite a bit of Cape Dutch architecture which I find very attractive. The town itself is very quiet and there is not a lot to do there as far as I know. However, we were only there for a short time.

    • We drove up a narrow winding road for a few kilometers and parked the car. Then there was a short circular hike that led to spectacular view of the Karroo. The view was breathtaking and very much worth the short trip from Graff-Reinet.

    • A tour of the Cango Caves is a must if you are in the area. The tour is a guided one and is most interesting. The stalagmites and stalactites have formed amazing configurations over the years. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The tour took about an hour and was well worth it.

    • I would highly recommend this tour of the caves. The caves are situated near the Swartzberg Mountains about 30 km from Oudtschoorn.

    The cost is:
    Adults........R 52.00
    Children.....R28.00

    I think this is an amazing site that I hope anyone going to Oudschoorn would take the time to visit.
