Victoria is a popular tourist destination. It's size makes it easy to navigate and there are many attractions to please the locals and the tourists.
I think it is a nice family or just adult destination as the attractions are many and varied. I will try to cover these later.
Emily Carr was a well know painter and also a writer. In the early part of her career she focuse almost exclusively on the west coast indigenous peoples. She later turned to landscapes of nature much of it centered on scenes in the Victoria area.
Although not a member of the Canadian Group of Seven, she was closely associated with them.
In the Canadian encyclopedia she is spoken of as a Canadian icon.
The inner harbor is a wonderful place to go for a walk as there is so much to see. The harbor itself if busy with float planes and all manner of boats.
A walk around the harbor will also give you a great view of the parliament buildings and in the summer buskers and other interesting characters/

They're still fighting about the Johnston Street Bridge are they? I read not too long ago that some wanted to modernize it.I like it the way it is too. Great views from the Towers Diane..Inner Harbour photos always remind of me some happy memories!Thanks!
