Island of Beauty

Comores is a very beautiful island, small and most of the things you do are at the hotel, The official languages are French and Arabic
The Comoros are located at the northern end of the Mozambique Channel, in the Indian Ocean approximately 300kms from the east African coastline.
The photos here are NOT postcard photos they are photos taken by me. This place is so amazing that you just cant help but take beautiful photos.

White sands

Mostly white sands.... warm water for swimming
It is advised that you ask permission before taking any photographs of people as some superstition still surrounds this practice.

It is a malaria area
THERE IS NO CELLPHONE RECEPTION ON THE ISLAND ( or at least there was not at the time I went a few years ago )

Pros and Cons

Pros:Beautiful
Cons:ppl who love night life may find it too quiet, no transport, no shops close so must buy drinks at hotel and thats expensive
In a nutshell:I loved it, ideal for honeymoon......................

Yep...this is definitely next on my travel list. In fact, think I will plan to go in March '09. I have a couple weeks off and no where planned to go yet. Thanks for sharing Nora :-)
