There are more than 450 elephants in this park...The park lies 75 km to the north of Port Elizabeth and is open throughout the year.
The park is Situated in a malaria free area.

The park's accommodation facilities include two chalets and a cottage reserved for use by people with physical impairments. But there is a wide range of cottages and chalets to suit your specific needs.
Please make sure what is needed at your accommodation because...

The following equipment can be needed: camping stove, cooking and eating utensils, water bottle, sleeping bag, matches, basic first aid kit. There are no shops or restaurants, you cook your own food.
NB: bring a plastic bag to carry out your refuse

A shame that the Addo Elephant Park official Guide can only be bought at the desk -- I will be visiting next year and would like to read up on the park before arriving !!
