I didn't go to this but it looks like fun. There's some 273 reproductions on a scale of 1:25 and 1:50 of some of the most famous monuments in Italy and Europe spread over an area of 12,000 square metres. There's a whole area dedicated to Venice in which you can take a trip down the Grande Canal. There's also a monorail that goes around the whole park and a panoramic tower. Ideal for kids and adults!

The park is situated to the north of Rimini (5km) in an area inland from Viserbella on the Via Popilia. Check website for opening hours as they do change over the year. Admission - € 16.00 adults, € 12.00 kids.

Museo dell'Aviazione

Rimini has an aviation museum which is on the way to San Marino. It covers an area of 80,000 square metres and is the biggest of its kind in Italy. There are around 30 aircraft on display, mostly from Russia, former eastern block countries and the Italian air force but there are also a few from the USAF and Clark Gable's Douglas DC-3. There is also a modern pavilion which houses a great collection of uniforms, medals and other memorabilia. If you're an airplane buff then this is the place for you!

Directions: The Aviation Museum Park is situated by the main Rimini-San Marino road at km 8.5. Arriving from San Marino, the park is about 1 km after the frontier. Arriving from the A-14 motorway, the park is about 8.5 km in the direction of San Marino, and can be seen on a hill to the right.

Open everyday from 9am-7pm. Admission is € 8,00 for adults, € 6,50 for kids.
