Yes, the water is warm enough to swim in around Kristiansand - around 21 degrees in the summer. There is a sandy beach right downtown or walk just past the fish market and out toward the island to Bendiktsbukta for a more secluded swim.

The Fylkesmuseet

This largely outdoor museum is located in Lund. It's open year round and is much fun for children.
