Guwahati

This is second trip to Assam after 10 years but this trip of Assam was different than eariler as this time i had been to Guwahati,the capital of Assam.Last time i had been to Lower Assam but this time my train crossed the mighty Bhrahamputra and legend says who ever corss the Bhramputra has to cross it twice.Lol,I not regret if such folk tales and locals saying is true,i shall be glad to visit this beautiful eastren state of India.
Guwahati is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains at the banks Bhrahmputra river,But its beauty is being threatened by rapid urbanisation.The most beautiful aspect of this city is its traditional houses but now mushrooming mutlistory buildings are engulfing these beautifull houses.Still i love this city.

Lovely page on Assam. I also am against animal sacrifice- I am vegetarian. We also enjoy meeting fellow train passengers, and have met many wonderful people . Just recently we were stuck on train from Kolkata to Dehi for 27 hours.But company was good.
