"Pink City:Jaipur" Jaipur by umashanker

Jaipur is very well planned medieval town and now capital of Rajasthan State.Jaipur has many attractions such as forts and palaces,temples,Rajasthani food and handicrafts.Roads are wide and much traffic but no traffic jam. Drainage system is poor in many parts of the fast expanding city but this problem is noticeable only in rain.However rain and winter is the best season to visit.My recent visit to Jaipur was after a long time and the purpose was to attend the marriage of my brother in law. It was a family visit and memorable trip.It was boring for me to stay at hotel and watch the rituals so as usual my best companion my son accompanied me to explore the monumental beauty of Jaipur or Jaypore as it was called during the Raj days.

Monumental beauty on Arawali Hills

It was a pleasure journey of 10kms from Jaipur city to Amber which is situated on a hill top.The last leg of drive was a pleasant one to watch the valley in the midst of Arawali Hills as a picnic spot.
