Sarawak First National Park

1st National Park to be established in 1957, covering about 27 square kilometres of forest, it occupies a mainly sandstone peninsular on the South China Sea facing Santubong Mountain. What I like most on this park is the impressive seascapes and rockscapes along the coast.

Seascapes and rockscapes along the coast

Never do enough of homework before coming here, I was caught with surprise by the seascapes in Bako. Some of the rocks look just like Proboscis monkeys which is easily found in the park. Again, never thought to see any of the Proboscis in this park, turned out, I got to them the closest in my trip to Borneo. Not even when I was in Sukau, the Proboscis there were always high up among the tree tops in Sukau.

Bako is also a good site for bird-watching! Btw, you have one pix of the paradise tree snake ( the lighter green one ) !
