From Malawi to Dar es Salaam | Monkeys playing in the grass |
Seems like I mostly photographed animals on the safari, and not the camp sites and lodges! While searching for info on Kisolanza, I found the travel journal of a couple who did the same 30 days overland tour 8 months after us, and have inserted links to their pictures from some of the places we stayed. |
| | Zanzibar I KNOW I took a lot of pictures on Zanzibar and in Arusha, but it seems like I have erased a whole memory card, or maybe transferred the pictures to a CD that got lost in the mail like the one from Sydney and Alice Springs :-( |
| | Arusha In Arusha we were picked up at the camp by my friend's wife Margaret and a friend of the family. After a sightseeing Margaret took us home to a village outside Arusha, where she was building their new home while her husband was studying for his Master's Degree in Stavanger and workiing to send home money for the house project at the same time. That is how I met him, he did some jobs on my house before I sold it to go on this journey :-) Margaret went to join her husband for his graduation and actually arrived Stavanger before me, we had a happy reunion when I got back :-) |

Greetings! | victorwkf Wed Oct 26, 2005 16:18 UTC Very good tips and photos of Tanzania, Ngorongoro & Serengeti NP! Tanzania is one of the places I would love to visit one day, including climbing Mt Kilimanjaro if I still have the fitness :) |
