"Trainstop and great recreation area" Nelaug by Rusket

Nelaug is approximally 25 km from the community center Åmli. In this municipality of 1143 square km there are only 1800 inhabitants, only 1,6 persons pr. km2! They have a lot of fantastic nature to frolic, why don't you join them!

A big part of the income is derived from production of hydro electrical power. Other sources of income are forestry, agriculture and bee-keeping.

Two trains

Nelaug is where you get off the Sørland Railway Line if you are going to Arendal, Åmli, Tvedestrand, Nisser, Vrådal or Seljord. There is a local train line down to Arendal, to the other destinations there are bus connections.
