My second capital

Tivoli

Tivoli entrance
For me Copenhagen = Tivoli :-) Even though there are some new attractions, the atmosphere is the same as the first time I was there, more than 40 years ago! I was very pleased when my moose, Elge (Backpackermoose), made me a surprise birthday party there! We had a nice dinner with some of our VT friends. And the next evening we were there again as a part of the big VT meeting :-) A pity I did not dare to try any of the attractions, since I had injured my leg a few days earlier, while hiking in Vitosha mountain ouside Sofia. Anyhow, I enjoyed the atmosphere, two different pantomime / ballet performances, a concert and spending time with old and new VT friends!
Nyhavn

Nyhavn

Copenhagen is also kind of a second capital for me. After all, it WAS Norways capital the 400 years we were under danish rule. Even after we got our independence norwegian intellectuals, poets, artists and the rest of us have continued to gather there.

A stroll in Nyhavn is a must do when in Copenhagen. Nice to see how well preserved the old buildings are now, and all the outdoor cafees along the harbour.

Waterbus

To see Copenhagen from the seaside is a must. You can choose between guided tours at a cost of 60 DKK, or a hop on hop off at DKK 50. They all start from Nyhavn.
