We entered Slovkia on highway 521 and arrived in Oravska Polhora, an almost neverending village along the road. Just before the end of the village we turned left to Slana Voda, a hamlet at the foot of the Babia Hora Mountains. This house would be our cottage for one week. 03-07-2005
Slana Voda means "Salt Water". In the woods, at 200 meters from the Inn "Chata Slana Voda" is a mineral well that gives warm, salt water. Jan Herud, owner of Slana Voda offered us a glass. Thanks Jan, the taste was awful, but also thanks for all the other drinks that tasted better........... Hope to come back here !! |

Slana Voda At 18.00 h this horse obviously refused to work any longer. I could not blame the animal! 04-07-2005 | | |
