Shopping at Cavindish is delightful! The complex boasts of a number of clothing boutiques, food supermarkets, cinemas, curio shops , photographic shops, music stores, bookshops, and much more! What is so good about it, is that everything is so conveniently situated. No need to hunt for something you need. One can also have a break at one of the many coffee houses or other eating places in this mall. Exclusive Books is my favourite store in this mall. Find the best selection of books, dvd's, and more here. Also available at certain kiosk's in Cavindish Square are the best of Indian delights!

Things To Do: Signal Hill

Signal Hill is one of my favourite spots in Cape Town. Also a very popular tourist destination. It seperates the section between Green Point and Sea Point from the City Bowl. Here you can experience the most breathtaking views of the city, Table bay and Table mountain. Besides all that, it is also a very popular picnic spot. What I do enjoy about Signal Hill the most, is the walk down this hill. Just behind the picnic spots, the walk leads to a spot where people fly their miniature aeroplanes. On a good day, with just enough wind, one can see these little planes take off. Further down Signal Hill, you end up in the road which leads you to Table Mountain. On a hot day , you will need some refreshments for the long walk back! It is a lovely walk. More so, because you never lose sight of the breathtaking view, i.e. unless you are looking at the camera!

Take a drive to Groot Constantia Estate and you will not be dissapointed. Famous and well known for the breathtaking view , the wines, and also because it is South Africas oldest wine farm. There is also a restaurant called "'Simons" who has a huge selection of wines and divine meals. On a lucky day you can witness some of the special celebrations taking place at "Simons". A wedding celebration is especially nice to watch, Because the happy couples normally have their photos taken in this spectacular surroundings. A walk around this historical wine farm is a very pleasant experience. For more information on South african wines also visit www.sawinesonline.co.uk. Especialy meant for VT members from the UK There are three more more pic's I took on my re-visit today.5th February 2006.

Lagoon beach in Milnerton is great to take your dog for a walk, swim or simply just to relax in the warm sun and enjoy! The water from the sea flows in a shallow lagoon, and the kids love it! Parents often take their kids here to cool off. There is also a great restaurant on the beach for sundowners. Canoes are also available for hire to sail on the lagoon, so be sure to enquire about this. It is fun! A lovely spot to visit!

Oudekraal is a breathtaking spot where the sea, mountain and sky all seem to meet. I love taking a drive in this direction, Because it is just so relaxing to view the natural beauty of Cape Town. The evening sun seem to bounce it's rays off the water. Breathtaking! When you do decide to visit Cape Town one day, do not miss this drive. A "must see destination. "A miracle is watching a sunset the colour of stained peaches and seeing it turn to raspberries by the end of my evening walk." - Oprah Winfrey ( Humanitarian)

Houtbay: Also known as 'The Republic of Houtbay" has everything to offer to make a holiday feel "complete". A fishing harbour, restaurants, mountain views and much more. On my re-visit to Houtbay, I have included more pictures of what you can expect to see at Houtbay. These pictures were taken near Mariner's Wharf. You will also be pleasanly surprised to find seals very close to the shoreline. To view more on this wonderful destination, please go to the link listed below.

Spier is in the heart of Stellenbosch Winelands. Over the last couple of years some changes have been made creating a more ethnic ambiance blending in with the traditional Cape Dutch feel of previous years. This makes Spier even more interesting. The tranquility and beauty at Spier is breathtaking. A destination that all tourists should visit. Please open the link below for more information.
