Restaurant Name: Nino's Panini at Canal walk.
Nino's at Canal Walk is open from 8 a.m.-10-pm, so if you are looking for an early breakfast before you start your day, Nino's is the place to go to when you are in that area. Also very popular for those who spend their day at Century city, or to perhaps have something light before going to the movies. They have a wide variety of coffee's, cakes. and fruit juices. No alcohol, I'm afraid. All foods are strictly halaal. Bookings can also be arranged for special parties.
Favorite Dish: The Tropical Cheesecake! You have to try it!

Restaurant Name: Andiamo
The selection of food at this little deli is superb. Enjoy a very filling breakfast ranging from continental, English, American or simply a breakfast of your own choice. In winter the fireplace is always going and the atmosphere is quite amazing. The people who frequent Andiamo's, range from the trendy, the hungry and those who just want to hang around at the bar for coffee, cuppocino or perhaps those just wanting to have a good time. There is also some great Italian take aways such as the most divine biscotti, and all sorts of Italian delights and more. Above all that, the service is great!
Favorite Dish: Cuppocino with froth and whatever is on the menu regarding a good breakfast. On weekends Andiamo's closes at midnight! So...... Visit this deli at any other time if you wish. I prefer Andiamo's in winter. Rather nice with that fireplace going!

For the best slice of cake in Cape Town, Malissa's is the place to go! The portions are huge and can easily be shared , if you going with a partner. They also have a huge variety of the best homemade biscuits beautifully wrapped to take home. Also some divine rolls and salads for a real boost for the day. Not forgetting the homemade nougat and fudge! Absolutely delicious! Cakes can also be ordered on request. These days I have been trying their delicious seasonal fruit tarts......what can I say, other than...yummy!!
Favorite Dish: I have two: The Peacon Chocolate Fudge cake and the homemade fudge!

Restaurant Name: Heidi's
Heidi's is one of those restaurants where you can just relax with a cuppa, whether it may be cuppuccino, expresso or even a fruit juice, one always feel relaxed at Heidi's. The cakes are divine, so are the fruit salads, Heidi's pancakes or if you like, a sandwich of your choice. Heidi's is very popular, so be sure to get there early if you want to have a great continental or English breakfast. Or perhaps, for the hungry, a great lunch. Or perhaps a snack before, or after going to the movies. What I enjoy about Heidi's is, that it is popular with the young and not so young. A great restaurant!
Favorite Dish: Fruit salad with cream!

Restaurant Name: Panarottis (Claremont)
Panarottis is one of those family restaurants where kids enjoy themselves as much as their parents! There is a tunnel for the kids, where they usually have a great time playing hide and seek, whilst their parents can have a feast. A real family restaurant. The service at the restaurant is great. So is their delivery service.
Favorite Dish: Vegetarian Pizza topped with cherry tomatoes, baby leeks, green peppers, mushrooms and pineapple!

Restaurant Name: Mariner's Wharf in Hout Bay.
The fish and chips at Mariners Wharf is what I recommend for all tourists. If you are looking for the best fresh fish in town, this is the place to go to. Mariners wharf is always busy. On weekends and paticularly public holidays, you will often find yourself in a long line of happy customers waiting for their fish, chips, salads or whichever seafood which might crave for on that day. This is from the "take away" section. Calamari, prawns and one of my other favourite's which is snoek ( a well known Cape Town fish) is also on the menu at Mariners Wharf. Mariner's Wharf is a delight to visit. The view from the restaurant is stunning and the lively atmosphere outside the restaurant is most enjoyable. The service.......great! Just below the restaurant is another section where you can read all about the history of Mariners Wharf and perhaps take home a few souveniers. This very popular restaurant is a "must visit" for all tourists.
Favorite Dish: 1 .Hake and chips with greek salad. 2.Snoek and chips with french salad. 3. No shell fish!

Restaurant Name: Morituri (Col'Cacchio.Pizzena)
There are so many Italian restaurants in Cape Town, it is sometimes hard to chose which one to go to. Well, this is the one I recommend if you desire a real taste of Italian Gourmet pizzas, pitas and and chitas. The salad selection is absolutely divine ranging from Rucola, Caprese and many more! What I like besides the huge "real Italian" pizza selection is the service. So If you want real Italian, Morituri is the place you want to be. The decor here is...... oh...so Italian!
Favorite Dish: From the pizza seleaction......Well, this is just one of my favourites.Toscana - caramelised onion, olives, anchovy, pine nuts and parmesan. The salad...too hard to chose. Everything taste good!

Restaurant Name: Mombasa.
I have never been to the Coral Island of Mombasa. This restaurant called Mombasa is the closest that I'll get to it. The atmosphere at Mombasa is great, and they have something special on the menu for all. From the conservative to the trendy (a smoking section is at the back of this restaurant). Of course I love the cakes here and the healthy breakfasts available are great! Most of all, I love the service and the lively atmosphere. Not forgetting the decor! It is open from 8:30a.m. until 11:30p.m. during the week including Saturdays. On Sundays, Mombasa closes at 10:00p.m. depending on the trade. Visit Mombasa.......You will love it!
Favorite Dish: Fruit salad and yoghurt or anything local with Coral Island music! (morning) Coffee, +++...........or anything local with more Coral Island music! (evening)
