In March 2004 I visited Kyoto for the first time and it was the second visit to Japan. First visit was Tokyo; it is easy to understand compared to Kyoto. It doesn't mean I dont like Tokyo but I have different feelings to them. People who lives in Kyoto longer than me probably can express the feeling of Kyoto better than me. Being there for 2 months is not enough to explore elusiveness of Kyoto. The ways they arrange houses, temples and gardens are difficult to understand and impressive.
I went to tea ceremony twice; first time I brought my tea utencils to Kansai Seminar house with Prof. Ikeda; there, I learnt how do during the tea ceremony; later I was invited by Obama-san to join the real tea ceremony with the theme that I could not remember well. It is artistic and philosophical ceremony.

In March and the begining of April it is the cherry blossom time. The colour of Kyoto becomes pink and the weather is comfortable. I heard that in Autumn the colour of the city will change to orange; I have a dream of visiting Kyoto or any parts of Japan in Autumn. Hope ...my dream comes true one day.
Well, I enjoyed the pinky city for 2 months and would not forget it. During I was there I visited many shrines and temples, they were tourist spots attracting throngs of all kinds of people from out of town.
