by Fam.Rauca - last update: Oct 2, 2007

Bucharest, named also as "Little Paris" is the splendid capital of Romania, and an old and even so modern citadel, an important European city, a place of culture and humanity.
Its geographical position makes that this city has an important economic, political and cultural position, into the life of the country.
The city was built in the middle of the Vlasiei Forests (Codrii Vlasiei), from which it exist now only a few small parts.
This city has a special style, an extremely attractive face, and so much charm, that more and more people want to come or to live here.
Bucharest lies in the west of the Romanian Plain (Campia Romana), in South-East of the country.
In this city live more than 2.300.000 people which personalize it.
Brilliance, mystery, imagination and friendliness, are some of the qualities of this lovely citadel and its folks.

The Parliament Palace

The beautiful architecture of the city is very good incorporated into the nature ambience of here.
Here, there are a lot of ancient buildings, but also many current houses, which have a good place in the complete live of Bucharest.
Theatres, opera houses, museums, palaces, old and new hotel buildings, elegant restaurants, large boulevards, banks and other financial institutes, universities, and more, more others, put together the beautiful face of the city.
Currently, there are a smaller number of the unattractive sides of Bucharest, and the people tries, these disagreeable shares to reduce.

Dambovita, a small tributary river of Danube, flows through the city, and creates a beautiful and relaxing area on its river banks.
The Herastrau Lake with its beautiful park, the Cismigiu Garden that creates a splendid green oasis, in centre of Bucharest, and other wonderful green places in the city, make from Bucharest an attractive bit of earth.
This city is a mystery and a challenge; it is a place to dream, and to stroll.
In order to get to know and to appreciate this city, one must observe its people.
Enjoy the song of the streets, smell the perfume of the past, sense the present, hear its heart, see it with the own eyes, and admire its beauty!

Nu credeam ca strainii mai pot avea impresii bune despre noi, dupa cat "ne lauda" presa. Adevarata Romanie si adevaratii romani se vad acasa la ei nu prin ziare. BRAVO !!! FELICITARI pentru aceasta pagina. Laura
