Chances are, if your spending time in St. John its only for one day. The beach there was rated one of the top ten most beautiful in the world in 2004, and thats no joke.

If your a common tourist, there is snorkling and a small amount of ruins on the island for you to look at.

If your not a tourist and are a common traveler, I recommend the off season when there are no tourists, because during those times the water will be filled with snorklers and people taking pictures of the ruins.
