Crete Island Things to Do Tips by Naokico

Season

I would like to recommend not to go to Crete on the high season. If you go there around the end of the high season or just around the begginig of it you will enjoy a more quiet Island, considerably lower prices (hotels, car rental, food and basically everything) and less stressful atmosphere.

South part of Crete

The nature side of Crete is nice and calming. The northern side is surely more touristic hence I would like to recommend the southern part, it's beautiful, peaceful and a perfect place to recharge your batteires. I found the northern part less clean and too noisy on the contrary the southern part is quiet, friendly and the overall feeling was what I imagined Greece should be. Anyway, if you are going to Greece for a short vacation I would recommend staying in the southern part.
