"The world's largest beach..." Rafha by Georgiantraveler

A nothing town outside of Rafha, immediately south of the Iraq border. Named Zubalah, or "garbage", because travelers from Baghdad to Mecca would stop there as the mid-way point. It is home to man-made pools that fill with rain runoff during wet season just before Ramadan. If you are interested in life as it was 1000 years ago, Zubalah is the place.
