Bodrum Transportation

Getting TO/AROUND: The Dolmus (dolmush) is typically Turkish and can be found everywhere. These are mainly minibuses traveling relatively short distances. A dolls usually waits and starts in the bus station until it is full and then leaves. You can board a dolls anywhere on its route by signaling it to stop for you. Similarly you can get off at a convenient point anywhere along the route. The destination of the dolls is posted in the windscreen. There are services to all places on the Bedroom peninsula. In summer the latest hour of departure of the minibuses or dolls is 5 a.m. in the summer time.
This kind of public transport is cheap and efficient and works very well all over Turkey. Just sit at the back of the dolmus and pass money to the one in front of you and say "bir kisi lutfen:)"
IF YOU WILL DRIVE!!!!Your first impression of traffic in Turkey will be shocking: queue jumping and honking cars, specially taxis who are not bothered about traffic lights and over taking in most impossible places. Pedestrians appear to have suicidal tendencies.Bikes and motor-bikes without light and opposite the One-Way street - that's absolute normal.
    WATCH OUT!!!

Getting TO/AROUND: For those wishing to arrive by ferry, with or without car, there are various routes to choose from. Ferryboats leave from both Venice and Brindisi (Italy) to Izmir. There are also ferryboats from Athens to Kos (Greece)
From Kos it is simple to take another ferryboat to Bodrum.
In winter ferries run three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The ferryboat leaves Bodrum at 09:00 and returns from Kos at 16:30. The price for a return ticket is about 18$ USA. The Bodrum-Kos trip takes about 2 hours.

Getting TO/AROUND: Although the Bodrum airport is a relatively new one - the facilities are excellent. A widened highway between Bodrum and the airport lets you enjoy now the only 30 minutes drive.
HAVAS is a bus service from the airport to the center of Bodrum - to the "Otogar" (Turkish for bus station)

Getting TO/AROUND: The "Blue Voyage" is a yachting tour, cruising along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coast. This unique tours are on traditional Turkish "Gulets" which are picturesque and comfortable. The Turkish Gulets were originally built for use by fishermen and sponge divers. Today they are luxuriously designed especially for chartered holidays. Their large, uncluttered decks are ideal for sunbathing and dining.

The worst club in Gumbet is Club Escape because person who is running the place might come to u and say u have to leave if u are not drinking anything. It doesn't matter if u are dancing in the middle of the stage. go to the Central bar or Tropicana...
