Restaurant Name: Sunger Pizza
Cheap and cheerful - opposite the marina. Best Pizza and meeting point of the town. It is always crowded with locals and the sailing crowd. If you venture on to the roof terrace there are tremendous views over the Harbour towards the castle. The personality of the place reflects the local well-known owner.
Favorite Dish: Try 'Çökertme', that's thin sliced meat on a layer of very fine grated chips with yoghurt.

Restaurant Name: Denizhan Et lokantasi
the best place to enjoy typical Turkish kitchen, it's called 'Et-Lokantasi' (Meat Restaurant). Situated on the outskirts of the town (towards Ortakent) you will need a taxi or dolmus to get there. It is worth the effort. You will be welcomed as a first serve with the Turkish balloon bread, (called 'Lavash'), then non-stop they will bring you all the delicious starters and best grilled meat, but leave some space for their unique Künefe, a sweet with cheese. Always a Turkish coffee is from the house then.
Favorite Dish: all kind of kebab

Restaurant Name: Ali Doksan/ Sakalli Restaurant
This typical lokanta is a down-to-earth trucker-type place, with the food out in large pans where you can get a look at it. Fresh bread fills the plastic canisters on the tables; it's great for wrapping around a kebap or sopping up the tasty stews, rice, and beans. Get there before the local lunch crowd packs both the indoor and outdoor tables around 1pm. Credit cards are not accepted.
Favorite Dish: Soups..

Restaurant Name: Kocadon Restaurant
A stone-cobbled courtyard, nestled between two traditional stone houses, is the setting for yet another of Bodrum's atmospheric quality restaurants. Start with the buffet of cold mezes, stocked with an interesting variety of salads and fritters, but don't go overboard. The kitchen puts out an ample plate of grilled calamari, and the catch of the day is prepared as you like it . There are also some classic Ottoman dishes like the Hunkar Begendi (lamb or beef stew served atop a purée of eggplant, cheese, and béchamel), which are perfectly complemented by the upper-story cumba and ancient candlelit olive press in the middle of the courtyard.
Favorite Dish: Hunkar Begendi, Imam Bayildi..
