Where I LOVE but no longer live

by JeSuisJill - last update: Dec 30, 2007

New York City Snowstorm

This is what Times Square looks like during a nice light snow! It is more beautiful than EVER!

New York Harbor

This is the NY City harbor .... I was pulling OUT into the Atlantic Ocean when this photo was taken ... Magic!
The E train going downtown

The Subway

These are New Yorkers (possibly tourists) riding the NY City Subway ...

The Statue of Liberty

Probably the most reconizable building in the world. I've seen the one in Paris, but can never get on a metro train moving slow enough to take a photo.

Trade Center Remains as of 2002

I have mixed feelings about putting this photo up. BUT, it is a vivid memory that I want to share so it stays. I have been down to what remains of the World Trade Center several times, but I haven't beent here in perahps 5-6 years .... I KNOW that the area has changed since these photos were taken.

Notice the Cross.
World Trade Center

World Trade Center Remains

This is what the site of the World Trade Center looked like about 2 years ago ... It has changed COMPLETELY since this photo was taken. The Path train station to New Jersey has been opened and tourists flood the area as if it was Times Square.

Celia Cruz in Central Park

A few summers ago on one of the hottest days of the year, 7-something year old Celia Cruz performed. She was unbelieveably fantastic! Who knew at that time she'd been suffering from cancer AND would die a few years later.

The energy that day wasn't muffled by the hail storm that followed.

Love ya Celia! Hasta Siempre!
La Caridad

East Harlem

This is a fantastic little Puerto Rican/Dominican Chicken-Pork-Rice N Beans spot ... Sabroso ... Right on 105th and 3rd Ave.
