Bellingwolde Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 5 photos

Welcome to Bellingwolde

The place where I grew up. A small village close to the German border, consisting basically out of two very long streets crossing eachother. Bellingwolde is famous for it beautiful farms which look like mini castles (pictures to follow). Furthermore, it is a place where you can relax, get your rest and enjoy the silence, the birds and the wide views over the farmfields.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Peace, quiet, authentic Netherlands, beautiful farms.
  • Cons:Out of the 'centre' of Holland. No nightlife.
  • In a nutshell:When you're on your way from Holland to Germany, take a piystop and enjoy Bellingwolde

HI, Interesting to find your page. My father was born in Bellingwolde and immgrated to the USA as a small child. Is it true that this village was sometimes in the Netherlands and sometimes in Germany?

Hi Emile! Just a quick note and look at your pages as I am off for a short trip tomorrow. So not much time for VT. I just wanted say hi to another Groninger in Scandinavia! I loved the photos on your home page! I'll be back to take a better look later!
