Groningen, the lively student city

The beaufitul flag of the province of Groningen
Well, this is the place where I went to study law for 6 years and I have to say, it is one of Holland's most pleasant cities to hang around.
Enjoying beer on the terrace in early spring.
Groningen has a very laid back, relaxed and yet exciting atmosphere mostly due to the fact it is a real student city. Good shopping, great nightlife around the market area, nice buildings like the Martini tower and the university and the Groninger museum are all worth spending a couple of days (or longer) while travelling through the Netherlands.
