"Mahabaleshwar - quite a hideout for a long weekend" Mahabaleshwar by SST

The view from Arthur Seat point is quite a grand one...... I found it so similar to the sructure of Grand Canyon, AZ, USA...just that the rocks are not reddish here, its quite yellowish..like natural Indian soil color. You need to be careful while standing at this point as the platform for tourist are not very well built and fencing is not adequate..but if you are a 'junglee' traveller, you must come here ..:-)

Wild Strawberries..

They grow strawberries here, one of the very few places in India where it happens. The picture is on top of table land in Panchgani, a local youth selling his strawberry offerings to the thirsty travellers....

Sweet cornnn...sweet cornnnnn.....

Just like all hill stations in South India, you get the soft fresh sweet corns in Mahabaleshwar hill tops. They barbecue it and then add lime juice with salt mixtures, place it in its covers like a boat and give it to you. In the chilly wind its quite deliscious to bite the sweet corns...
