Most visit Provo or Grand Turk. Middle Caicos has no, repeat NO, infrastructure. The one or two stores are small shacks and you need to find the owner to open up. The only place you are going to find a cold beer is at the cinder block 'airport' building. The airport is a small strip that accommodates 4 seater island hoppers - daylight only.

Provisions need to be bought on Provo. Expect absolute solitude on Bambarra Beach. We saw no one for 3 days. Rent a beach house and really get away from it all. The reef off of the North central - east coast is about a mile out. The water is calm and crystal clear and you can wade thigh- waist deep far out. Walk out to Pelican Island on a thin sand spit. A small 5Ft rod that breaks down into 5 1ft sections was perfect. I landed several bonefish between 5 to 10 pounds with small spinners.

Do spend a day at Dragon Cay - take a picnic lunch and enjoy the hidden cove accessed by dropping down through the rocks and short cave.

If you want the all-in-one resort, you don't want to go to this place. Tour operators will run you over from Provo for the day to see Dragon Cay.
