I have to stay I owe my love to traveling to my parents. Growing up they always wanted my brothers and I to beable to see the world. Even if it was just getting out of our small town. From going to Grandma and grandpa's house in Crosslake to our first big trip to Las Vegas and LA way back in 1990. These things all lead to my love for travel.
I have been really fortunate to have parents that were very supportive of me. They would never let me pass up opportunities that came once in a lifetime.
Having brothers that lived in a lot of different places also helped out. Both of my brothers are older than me and were in the military. My oldest brother Brady was a officer in the navy and lived mostly out west and a couple of months in mississippi as he attending flight school. While Brady was in flight school I was able to go on a family trip to Meridian, Mississippi and New Orleans. It was cool trip and Bourban street was pretty neat. Brady and I have been able to do some cool trips together. When I was a freshman in high school and Brady graduated from college we did a trip together. Brady spent most of that summer driving out west and back. I had the chance to fly out to San Francisco and take two and a half weeks to drive back to Wisconsin. We went all the way up the coast to Portland and took the northermost way back home. The second trip brady and I went on was to Europe. He just got out of the military and had time to go for a while before starting his job. I was in my second year of college and wasn't really interested and wanted to see the world. Brady went over before I did and I met him in Rome and finished up the last part of the trip with him.
A family activity that gave us a lot of travel time was sking and snowboarding. Our parents started us very young doing this. Every winter we tried to go as a family sking somewhere up North from us. It also led to us going out west and sking in Colorado with our uncle.
I believe in some ways life is backwards. I feel you should retire first and get to see all that the world has to offer then work. |
| | My hobbies I have to say I am a good Ol' Boy from Wisconsin. Some of my hobbies are hunting, fishing, river tubing, swimming, snowboarding and drinking some brews with the boys.
Another activity that took up a lot of my time was racing 4-wheelers. I raced ATV's for about 8 years and had to give it up to afford college. I was racing all over the state of Wisconsin as well as the east coast. I will get some pics of that on here sometime |
