Moreton Island is a large island that is situated near the coast of queensland, a few kilometers south of Brisbane. It's a island of contrasts with sandhills, rainforest and deep blue freshwater lakes. To drive on the island you're obliged to have a off road car because you have to drive on the beach (when there is low tide) or on dirty small pathes when there's high tide.

  • Cons:need to book a trip with a tour company
  • In a nutshell:less known, but at least as good as fraser island
