We found our villa at www.summerinitaly.com. The villa had a living/dining area, bedroom, bath and kitchen, and an awesome balcony overlooking the sea. Although we did not actually stay in almafi, it was just a walk down the road (Ravello).
We shopped at a small grocery store and were able to cook lunch when we did not feel like venturing out to explore. We visited during a heat wave and the pool and sea were too comforting to leave on some days! |

Festival of Saint Andrew We were lucky enough to visit during the Festival of Saint Andrew (June 27)which happens every June to celebrate the the patron saint. He is said to have saved the city from pirate Barbarossa. The saint's remains are in a crypt in the Duomo di Amalfi (Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea) - a beautiful Moorish Norman style church in Almafi. | | | Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea |
