will this page ever get finished?

by psyche327 - last update: Dec 5, 2006

the rehnberg window
i once heard that walt disney envisioned epcot center to be a sort of "community of tomorrow" that would never be finished but would be in constant evolution.

sort of like this page, perhaps?

now that i surrendered and joined the masses of digital camera users (hello, coolpix s1!) maybe it'll be easier to document trips. we'll see.

oh, about my quote... you probably know these words were uttered by george mallory when he was asked why he wanted to climb mount everest. i could go on great detail about why i want to go to liverpool, sheffield, japan, pompeii, toronto, oslo, etc., etc., etc., but good, ol' george put it succintly.

so, this page is under construction and probably will be for life. still: WELCOME! above you'll see a picture of the rehnberg window. clockwise from top: 1) the celtic cross, a symbol of the christian tradition, 2) the star and crescent symbol of the faith of islam, 3) the sanskrit characters which are pronounced ohm, the hindu symbol of ultimate reality, 4) the star of david, symbolizing judaism, 5) the yin-yang of taoism which symbolizes the interrelatedness of life and 6) the eight spoked wheel symbolizing the eight-fold path of buddhism. the interlocking of the six circular representations of the six major religions of the world indicates that they all share in the same quest for meaning and the central symbol of the flaming chalice represents unitarian universalism's willingness to accept whatever insight each of the major traditions may offer - as well as a determination to explore all new claims to truth and understanding.
atlanta botanical gardens

a small update...

i've moved to atlanta and have lots of pictures to add... someday.
stone mountain

it's so good to be out of jail

finally, i thought i'd never see the light of day again
lobby of the westin peachtree plaza

out on the town...

what could've been but wasn't: out to have a good time but if the company you're with is not up for it...
