Budapest, Paris of Eastern Europe

A city full of fantastic sights

Budapest is often referred to as Paris of Eastern Europe. Both cities are so big that you will need a lot of time and several trips in order to get a full view of the layouts. Both also have first-class architecture, monuments and breathtaking views as well as a vibrant nightlife, excellent dining facilities and hotels to suit all pockets.

However both Paris and Budapest are unique and it will not be fair to do a comparison of them both. You will need to visit to make up your point.

Budapest surely is one of my top spots after having travelled extensively around Europe many times. The city is inexpensive considered the high number of tourists that visit and I hope prices will stay low for a long time. Another important issue is the local population which I find more accommodating in Budapest.

I have always been happy in Budapest and can't wait to re-visit soon.

Széchenyi Bath

City of Spas

Budapest is richly endowed with natural springs of thermal waters possessing various medicinal properties, and it is these that supply the city’s many thermal baths. Not for nothing is it known as the City of Spas. Among its most precious treasures are its sixteenth century Turkish baths, as well as the Széchenyi, the Gellért and the Lukács Baths, and the Rác Baths. All are known for the healing qualities of their waters.

A must-do-thing when visiting.

The Chain Bridge

One of the landmarks in Budapest. Connects the green and beautiful Buda-side of the city with the more urban Pest-side.
