welcoming we origionally went to Altinkum on a veiwing trip to buy a property, we weren't disappointed. the area is lovely. there are nice beaches, friendly locals, great weather. what more can you ask for. the locals are helpful and will make you feel welcome. |
history as well as the usual touristy bits there is still some of the real turkey in Altinkum. there are still some traditional shops to be found in the back streets and the market still sells fresh food, not just cheap 'designer' clothes. |
home from home if you don't feel like being adventurous you can still find bangers and mash and a full english breakfast. there are over 30,000 english people living in the didim region so for many it is like a home from home. we have bought an apartment there, so obviously we like it!
like any growing tourist resort there are things that need work , but on the whole it is a great place, with great people. so just enjoy it!!! |
