Amsterdam is a very interesting place - especially at night in the Red Light district. The coffee shops and bars are busy and almost everything is for sale. A common start point for visitors is Dam Square - the central point of Amsterdam. From here the roads branch off to the different areas. Which road you take will depend on what you want to achieve from your walk - or cycle ride if you have such a thing. |
|  | Canal Cruising Similar to Venice, you can get around this town on a boat. Many of the boats double as houses which must make moving house nice and easy. An evening cruise around Amsterdam is a great way to get a different perspective of the city. |
Be careful what you eat and drink While we were in Amsterdam a tourist from the USA was taken to hospital due to a bad reaction after having a Magic Mushroom milkshake. We were offered all sorts of items while walking the street - the sort of items that will get you hung in Singapore!!
