Madrid is a great place to visit with some wonderful architecture and great people. In Summer it gets quite hot so sitting out in the evening and enjoying a bit of Sangria is more of a 'have to do' than just a past-time. With the Royal family based here, Madrid is a very grandiose city with big buildings and fabulous fountains.

Madrid is home to some interesting fashion and the most expensive football team in the world in Ream Madrid. A trip to Bernabeu stadium is a must if you are interested - the spanish are football fanatics and really love the game.

It may not be everyones idea of a good time but a trip to the Bullfights is certainly an interesting adventure. The whole pomp & ceremony is quite fascinating with the crowd - especially those in the cheap seats that get the blazing sun - making a huge amount of noise. If they don't like what is happening they will let you know. The Tapas bar is another thing to try & after the bullfights have concluded every Tapas bar for miles around is full. Dinner doesn't seem to get eaten until after 9pm & the parties don't often start until after 11pm.
