"North Cascades" North Cascades National Park by PinkFloydActuary

I spent about 3 hours in the park, and never actually set foot in it. Mainly because Ross Lake National Rec. Area is the land that runs along Route 20. But no matter. You can get plenty of viewing opportunities of this unique mountain range from the road. This park lies a couple hours north of Seattle. I snuck away from the last meeting of my conference to squeeze a visit it - and is was quickly obvious that I was shortchanging myself.

North Cascades

I didn't have time to do much walking, but there are a number of short trails that run along Route 20 as well as the much longer ones that head off into the wilderness. North Cascades is a very picturesque park, and should be given plenty of time on your itinerary when you visit the parks in Washington state.
