Shenandoah National Park Travel Guide: 163 reviews and 534 photos
Every so often, the weather plays games with a trip. Unfortunately, it rained the whole night prior to our trip through the Shenandoah Valley. As a result, many views of the valley were completely encased in fog. However, we did get enough of the overlooks to get an idea of the beautiful countryside. Please see my travelogue for some of these pictures.
Due to the inclement weather, we didn't get too much hiking in, although there are over 500 miles of hiking trails in the park. For a description of them, go to http://www.nps.gov/shen/2b.htm . This will give you an opportunity to view a selection of hiking maps with descriptions of what you will see and difficulty.

Ha Ha to the Applebee's steak! Don't eat the riblets either. Just plain Nasty! The waterfall is lovely. Not sure about the hike but it will be worth a look. Joyce
