"Heart of the Black Hills" Hill City by PinkFloydActuary

Hill City Travel Guide: 26 reviews and 19 photos

When travelling through the Black Hills of South Dakota, an optimal choice for Ground Zero would be Hill City. Although it's relatively small, it has a few nice places to eat, tourist shopping, and several well-known hotels. It's pretty much in the center of action as well. This page is dedicated to the many side trips you can make out of town.

Thanks for this very informative rundown on the many attractions, both near and far, that can be accessed from Hill City. My wife and I have ourselves booked in there for a few days and are looking forward to some exploration!

please don't confuse people. Devils tower is not really a black hills attraction and is hours north from Hill City. Devils tower is an amazing place though.
