"National Monument to National Park" Congaree Swamp National Monument by PinkFloydActuary

Located just to the southeast of Columbia lies one of the youngest of our national parks (upgraded from a monument in 2003.) If you're not able to canoe through the park, there's actually just a handful of trails to hike to look for wildlife and to take in the beautiful scenery. Due to a nasty mosquito infestation and a lack of bug spray, we limited ourselves to the Boardwalk trail. I'm attaching my comments of this short, but nice, little hike.
