The need to stop in OK City was driven purely by the desire to witness the Oklahoma City National Memorial, a memorial honoring "the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were changed forever on April 19, 1995." My personal memory was that I was closing out my senior year of college and was in coming home from my morning class when I had heard what had happened. Having seen the memorial through my computer, I felt compelled to see it in person. It was a moving experience to be here.

Because we stayed in town that night, I also can talk about where we stayed and ate.
