Ride the roller coaster around NYNY at night - it's quite a blast! The casino itself is pretty neat to walk around in, with some recreations of NY neighborhoods. The food court is especially cool.

Right next to the MGM there are a couple of pretty massive logo stores worth checking out. The Coca-Cola store has everything you could ask for with the Coke design. M&M World is four floors of candy and logo related shopping. Both are worth a peek, especially when you want to escape the heat!

The Rio has some of the more scantily clad cocktail waitresses and last time we were there, they broke into little dances from time to time. Check it out, but spend your time gambling across the street at the Gold Coast.

One of the niftiest things to see for free is the Mirage volcano after dark. It runs every 15 minutes or so. And if you have the chills from the desert, this will definitely warm you up!

On the way into the Mirage, you can see the White Tigers roaming through their habitat. Across from the habitat is the Mirage logo store in case you absolutely have to have some sort of tiger souvenier.

For a hour or so of moderately expensive entertainment, cruise over to the Venetian and enter Madame Tussaud's. Here, you can get pictures of yourself taken with somewhat lifelike replicas of celebrities. The figures run the gamut of entertainment: actors, musicians, sports stars, etc. You are allowed to touch, so go right ahead and get close...

We all crave it. Instead of rubbing a rabbit's foot, you can try the bronze statues down at the Riviera, as my brother did. From the looks of things, he wasn't the first. Try your new found luck at some of the cheapest gambling on the strip (Slot-of-Fun or Westward Ho)

Things To Do: Junk Food on Fremont Street

Stop in at Mermaids on Fremont street. You may be able to score free beads, and you can buy yourself a deep fried twinkie. While not up my alley, my friends certainly enjoyed them while I took the picture...

Join the Plaza Slot Club, and you can get your picture on a genuine Plaza key chain! It's available after about an hour, so hit the Plaza first, check out the rest of Fremont street, then head back to pick up your nifty souvenier!

Fremont Street lights up at night to provide a light show along the street set to music. If you're going to spend any time downtown, do it after dark to take in the show.
