Visiting the island

There is a lot of appeal in a trip across to Mackinac Island. First, no cars, so if you want to get around, bikes are a great way to go. Probably more importantly, there is the allure of fudge! Mackinac is famous for the confection, and stores that sell it line the main street of the island. But aside from these things, there is some really pretty scenery. The island is small enough that biking back and forth to hit the main sights only will take you a half to full day, so you can cross back to the mainland if you want to and won't have fear of missing out on a whole lot...
